Fellow blogheads
At one point, when it seemed I had nothing better to do with my time, I would post to this blog every day, or as close to as possible. I don’t think a lot has changed since then, I just seem to have even more ‘wastes of time’ to keep me from updating my blog. I’d like to offer an engrossing account of my adventures since my last post, but there aren’t any so I can’t.
Whenever something happens that pisses me off, or makes me happy, or makes me sad or makes me want to bitch slap someone, my first thought is to blog. My second thought is HOW do I write this? If you had access to my dashboard, you would see a gazillion posts unpublished, or started or just ‘not quite right’. Because I don’t want to sound depressing in my posts, or uncarng if I find something funny or a bitch if I complain to much about certain people. Blogging is bloody hard work, and I take my hat off to every blogger who I subscribe to who manages to live a full life and take care of a gaggle of kiddo’s and work, have a social life and STILL find time to blog. Well… If I had a hat, I’d take it off. Hats really don’t suit me, I’ve tried baseball caps, berets, floppy things, bonnets and scarves. Whatever type of hat I have tried to wear, I always look more like Sally from wurzel Gummage than a sophisticated ‘lady’. So I take my imaginary hat off to you.
So, since my last entry, I have come across a couple blogs worthy of a mention, Citizen of the month which is a light hearted blog covering a wide range of subjects including ‘the inconsiderate breastfeeding woman’ and ‘My African-American friend’ And before those soap boxes get jumped on, take the time to read them before bashing ME for laughing. Sometimes presumptions cause a lot of pain. Usually by me when i get pissed off with someone, but whatever. So yeah Check it out and see for yourself.
Another is Would Coulda Shoulda. I’ve been following Mir’s antics for quite some time now, but along with my own desertion of my blog, along with it disappeared the blogs I subscribe to. But having gone back in tonight and had a jolly good laugh, I’m vowing to check back in every day, if only to say that my life isn’t as complicated, disasterous or funny. I love how all of Mir’s posts are geared with humour, even when the proverbial shit has well and truly hit the fan. So thanks Mir.
And now as my blog comes to a close and I set off to freak out over the impending parent visit on saturday, for a whole WEEK…. I bid you good night.
If things stay creative, then I will be back tomorrow… if not.. well it could be a while.
